Mr Offensive

"The messages are light-hearted and are no more than humorous comments made by the wearers about themselves," he said.

So does a 10 year old really want to joke that they are:

Mr Well-Hung
Miss Floozy
Miss Wasted
Miss Slut
Mr Masturbate
Mr Blow Job ?

"We are disappointed that there has been some criticism..."

Why, does that interfere with your freedom of speech?

So Dr Cindy Kiro is looking for evidence that parents need a license in order to raise a child. What will her criteria be? That parents buy these things are "well rounded and ideal parent material" or that such parents are somewhat "deficient" and might as well wear their own T-Shirt:

Mr Shit-For-Brains
Ms Should Know Better

And another thing. The idea on TV is to have "age-inappropriate" advertising and program content after "bed-time". Really, what's the point?

  1. This sort of thing is just revolting. If it turns up in any of the shops I go to, I'll complain to the management.

  2. We're just old-fashioned righty reactionaries, failing to keep up with the times, not cool, killjoy humourless people.
After all, using kids as walking billboards to advertise the parent's lack of decency is just so, you know, progressive.

  3. You should get a free 'Shit for Brains' shirt when you buy one of those.

Just so that they can walk around stating the obvious.

  4. Amen to that KG, what's really amazing is that parents actually buy these things for their children. I wonder if years later when these morons find their children are just lazy bums doing not much more than fornicating freely and being parasites in general, if their small brains will explode when they remember that frivolous (not anymore) decision back in the day?

  5. Nice one kg. I'd probably be called a dread progressive in most things and yet I agree with you on this but feel free to liberally slather a whole group of people with opinions they probably don't have. You know, the kind of thing that contributes to open discourse and full consideration of other's points of views rather than stupid generalisations.

  6. Fergus, I'd suggest you have a nice cup of tea and a lie down until the blood pressure drops.
Your assumption that I was using the word "progressive" in the same dishonest way lefties use it as a re-branding exercise is unwarranted.
(I assume the left hasn't registered the word as a brand yet?)

  7. I don't think they have yet KG. But they have redefined "The Law of Common Sense" (c) recently.

Also, they are no longer able to say "right wing" or "the right". It always comes out as "The Far Right"

  8. Well, that's a relief! And I found out that Progressive Enterprises was just Woolworths and Foodtown too, not Robert Mugabe's family trust.

  9. One wonders how one day this blog can be against the EFA to protect free speech, and then against allowing free speech on said T Shirts because it offends you.

  10. MikeE, one also wonders how, if one had read the other post on this subject, how one could wonder. Or does one not get it?

  11. MikeE, why don't you flame these anti-freedom people? Fancy this mob trying to persuade a private business not to sell culturally offensive stuff like, err, black and white scarves.

  12. Yes, you gotta laugh.

Drugs, drunkeness, hedonism, setting civil rights back 150 years are not offensive, yet scarves are.

I think some people just got pwned.
