New Zealand needs to start counting down remaining eligible unvaccinated people, not count vaccines given - epidemiologist - Newshub, 17 October 2021
Rod Jackson is the epidemiologist who wants to promote counting down eligible unvaccinated people rather than continuing to count those vaccines given. With the most likely aim of really focusing everyone's attention on those who refuse to comply.
Aided and abetted by the MSM, Rod Jackson has been very actively spreading a covid message of doom and destruction. It seems nothing short of everyone jabbed will be enough for him.
Epidemiologist Rod Jackson says New Zealand's efforts on Super Saturday were brilliant.
"But there is a big 'but', and the but is there are 500,000 New Zealanders eligible for vaccination who will still remain unvaccinated on Monday," he says.
It's a small number compared with the 3.5 million Kiwis who have protected themselves but still enough to put pressure on the healthcare system.
"If the current outbreak in Auckland is anything to go by, one in ten of those people will need to be hospitalised, so that's 50,000," Jackson says.
He believes rather than counting up to a 90 percent vaccination target, we need to start counting down the number of harder-to-reach people who aren't yet vaccinated.
"I think we need to turn what we've been doing on its head and focus on that 500,000 because that is where all the death and destruction is going to happen."
While Super Saturday worked for many to help them get vaccinated, it hasn't worked for all, and Jackson says while there was plenty to celebrate, we will need to get creative about reaching the final 500,000.
It's always interesting to get a psychological background of those that have become media influencers during this Covid period. Well known media personalities tend to give their views over time, so people learn to take or leave their opinions in relation to everything else that person has said, and thus decide how much to take on board themselves and how much to disregard. It's a normal, human, filtering process that we all employ, even those that would consider themselves to be unbiased.
However, "experts" are more difficult to assess. They get wheeled out on single issues without the scrutiny on what they are like overall. All we know so far about these experts is that the majority of them seem authoritarian and oblivious to wider consequences. Well, at least those the media in NZ are happy to promote.
I don't know much about Rod Jackson, except what what he has promoted in the media. Is he a real fascist, or is he just a hyper-focused expert? I found a clue in his article published in The Conversation earlier this month, where he made a comment in reply to an inflammatory comment by Dennis N Horne recommending he read a post published on the Daily Kos.
