YouTube clip on Muslim demographics in Western countries shown at the Vatican

It caused some controversy, to say the least. The problem with all of this is not that there are so many Muslims, it's more that the Catholic and Christian populations are in a death spiral.  We value women more as worker bees and sexual playthings more than we value them as mothers.  So many of our babies are being massacred through abortion.  It's really cultural suicide that is going on rather than invasion by Muslims. Herbivore men

The title of this post is a Japanese term, Sōshokukei-danshi , which I am told literally translates as grass eating men. But what it refers to is a noticeable social phenomena where young Japanese men are not interested in pursuing young women and for whom the effort of courtship is just not worth it ! And this is a big problem, Japan is approaching the point where one in four Japanese will soon be over sixty-five. The latest number is 22.6% of all Japanese are now over sixty-five and this number is increasing and will continue to do so. And as it does more of the Nations resources have to go to the old and leaving less to go to the young . This is a death spiral. And although we are blissfully unaware we are in the same death spiral and we have our own herbivore men. Let's be blunt here the modern New Zealand miss might not be that great prize for a man to chase and win. And the modern New Zealand male has not been bought up steeped with masculine virtue so he might ...

The approaching night

My co blogger Lucia Maria has come in for a bit of stick for this comment Contraception should be outlawed. It turns women into sexual playthings that can be discarded when something younger and prettier comes along. It takes away women's power to withhold sex unless the man says "I do". And it allows men to stay at a level of stunted development where they never have to grow up. Apart from the banning aspect I agree with it, more or less. Fifty years ago the oral contraceptive was approved for general use - and this unleashed a cultural revolution. The genie is out of the bottle. we can't put it back. The problem is that the first generation who could control their fertility in this manner are approaching retirement age - which means that there are shortly to be large numbers of elderly folks and not enough young working age folks to support them because these people did not have enough children in their prime years and nor have the children they did have produ...

The "Apple Core Effect"

Interesting article: Perfect population storm on horizon . Everyone knows a Kiwi who's upped sticks and gone to Oz, or a 20-something who went on their OE, landed a job and decided the grass was greener somewhere else. It's such an entrenched phenomenon that a population expert is warning there's a gaping hole in New Zealand's workforce where all the 20-35-year-olds should be. Natalie Jackson calls it the "apple core effect" – the hole left by those who've quit the country and aren't coming back. She claims the situation is so bad that there could be little left to prop up the workforce as baby boomers start to retire. Professor Jackson, who heads Waikato University's newly-formed Nidea, or National Institute of Demographic and Economic Analysis, says there is "virtually no understanding" of how New Zealand's age structure has changed, and what that means for the future. I don't know if my family are typical but my late ...

Premature aging and feminist demography?

According to Professor Natalie Jackson of Waikato University feminist demography views the family as an entity producing the future labour force and taxpayers. This comes from a story in Stuff this morning: New Zealand hit by premature ageing which discusses the upcoming bulge in the elderly coupled with the loss of working aged people through migration. Now it has been obvious for many years that we as a people have not been having enough children. New Zealand barely produces enough to replenish its population and most western countries are not even accomplishing that. The shortfalls are being made up by immigration from more fecund but poorer regions. We have a cultural problem here - the raising of children is a time consuming, expensive proposition and one which might seem to get in the way of an individuals personal aspirations. And child rearing is something we as a society have lost the taste for which is why we face this issue. Which is something Feminism has to answer...

Cultural Suicide

The lunatics are truly in charge of the asylum. A report issued by the prestigious London School of Economics has concluded "Contraception is almost five times cheaper as a means of preventing climate change than conventional green technologies" The logic is impeccable the less people there are the less impact people with have on the environment, with the obvious corollary - no people, no environmental impact. Its bonkers of course, while the purpose and meaning of life maybe obscure, the old "why are we here" question, it is clear that we have a drive to procreate, to leave a legacy of children and grandchildren to carry on when we have gone. Put it down to Richard Dawkins' selfish gene if you will or take it from the Biblical injunction "be fruitful and multiply" but whatever view you take the only reason you, me and ridiculous pointy headed professors are here is because our ancestors procreated. The silliest thing of all, and the most worrying ...

Are Labour MPS really this clueless

The "greatest generation" fought World War 2. A significant number of them sacrificed their youth to that great struggle facing great hardship and deprivation as they did so. Of course there were many who gave more then their youth, the ones who didn't return. And when the battles were over those who had come through it began their lives, started their families and raised their children. They had lots of children and were encouraged to do so by the Governments of the day who saw the value of Children and the merits of creating the next generation to perpetuate the species. It was a period of great prosperity and the children of the greatest generation grew up in a world of privilege and opportunity beyond the wildest imaginations of their ancestors. And here is what the Greatest Generation produced. The baby boomers. A selfish and self absorbed hedonistic bunch. And for many of the boomers having families raising children was not a high priority. So they didn't. N...
