Lucy Lawless

Lucy Lawless lives a comfortable life - way more comfortable than 99.9% of the people who she shares this planet with - I'd say of that there is little doubt. So how does she use her position of privilege. She interferes with the ability of other people to go about their lawful business creating wealth, wealth that would raise the standard of living for others, although not to the levels this that air headed woman enjoys to be sure. What should happen here is this silly woman should be made to pay the port fees, wages and running costs for the ship she is delaying for the period for which it is delayed. And that my friends would not be small change but it would be justice.

An idyllic Indonesian childhood

Kids scratching through the garbage looking for anything of value that they can use to obtain the essentials of daily life. We are not talking I-pads here, we are talking "their daily bread" . And yet the New Zealand Herald is more concerned about - Ethical shopping: Shop right and protect the orang-utans' forests The reason why our most desperate poor are not anywhere near as desperate as these children is because the dynamic forefathers of this country cleared bush and drained swamps to create pasture for dairy cows thus creating the wealth that provides the education and opportunities that our children enjoy today. Ethical shopping might include buying Indonesian Toilet paper thus providing Indonesia with a little hard currency to help improve the lot of the Indonesian poor? What do you think?

A good lesson for kids in what lowering your carbon footprint actually means

Kids shivering in classrooms where the temperature is 1°C doesn't seem like an optimum learning environment - unless the lesson to be learnt from this is cutting your carbon foot print means increased in hardship. Children left to freeze in the classrooms after head turns off heating on coldest day of year 'to show how school can be eco-friendly' I'd call this one an own goal by the school myself.

Oh no! It's an ecological catastrophe

Shocking image of an ecological disaster area. A place of horror where thousands of animals of have become trapped in the sticky petroleum and lost their lives. A truly horrendous disaster. No it is not the "toxic waste" polluting the beaches of Tauranga, it is this place and it has been doing this all by itself for tens of thousands of years and guess what - despite this "pollution" which has nothing whatsoever to do with human activities the world has continued to turn. It's not good that there is oil on the beaches , but it will clear itself up in the fullness of time all by itself and the world wont end even if all the oil on the Rena ends up spilled into the sea.

Well look who Mr Farrar is earning money from today

This would be capitalism at its finest folks. My guess is that Mr Farrar gets paid per click - so go to his site and if you see this banner click on it . Let's all move money from Greenpeace's bank account to Mr Farrar's. Also if you like Tuna go and buy some Sealord Tuna today. Support the company. From now on when ever Greenpeace campaigns against anything, I am going to buy it and so should you.
