Breivik's Nazi salute that the media wrote off as a "fascist fantasy" A few weeks back, JihadWatch writer Robert Spencer wrote a post about what Anders Breivik has admitted to recently - that he isn't a counter-jihadist, that he just pretended to be one. When Breivik's manifesto become available, I and some others at the time did not believe what he said about being a Templar or even a Christian - it just didn't make sense to me. During the 1940's, the Germans released a film called, "I Accuse", a story about a woman with a debilitating disease whose husband, out of love for her, eventually kills her to spare her suffering. Ich klage an (Eng: I Accuse) is a 1941 film, directed by Wolfgang Liebeneiner, which depicts a woman with multiple sclerosis who asks her husband, a doctor, to relieve her of her suffering permanently. He agrees to give her a lethal injection of morphine while his friend (who is also a doctor) plays tranquil music on the piano. The husband is put on trial, where arguments are put forth that prolonging life is sometimes contrary to nature, and that death is a right as well as a duty. It culminates in the husband's declaration that he is accusing them of cruelty for trying to prevent such death. The gay marriage debate seems to bring out the anti-Catholics in force. One of the main talking points always seems to be Hitler being Catholic and having never been excommunicated . As if this proves the Catholic Church was behind Nazism all along. I have posted about this previously, but probably didn't make too big a deal of it, so now this subject has it's own post totally dedicated to debunking the false notion that Hitler was never excommunicated by the Catholic Church. Considering that most New Zealanders support the Governments plans to offer free long term contraception to female beneficiaries and their older teenage daughters, the cartoon above from today's Dominion Post should really have had a mob with pitchforks rather than a lone Nazi wanting to butcher all and sundry.
