  1. Sorry, I've been really slack tonight. Just a bit distracted.

  2. never mind you're here now. Slack week, cold, little grass growth, lambs even finding the short lawn an attraction.

  3. Hi George!

It has been cold, hasn't it! I got a shock a couple of mornings ago when my thermometer in my room read 14.something or other degrees. That's warm winter temp, not late Spring.

    Poor lambs.

  4. and windy too.

aach mon, she's a mean gale when she blows.

  5. Oh yes, the wind! It decimated one of my rose bushes. I kept finding branches everywhere. I've had to chop half of it off as well.

  6. The darned sheep have have done all the decimating that needs doing on the wife's roses. Why she feeds her house dog I'll never know. He will snooze while they are browsing a few feet away.

  7. Lucyna - so your rose bush is now 9/10ths of it's original size?

    :P

  8. Evening everyone

I'm in Christchurch for a few days.
    It's damned cold down here.
I was in Nelson from monday to Wednesday and it was warm and pleasant up there.
I stayed in a B&B there which had a lovely rose garden , though yellow is not my colour.
I think people have better gardens on the south island.
Us northerners have less time because we spend it stuck in traffic.

  9. Hi there Fairfacts Media. You've just reminded me - I need to get down to Christchurch too. If I weren't so busy ...

Ah, its been a long week and I need to catch up on my sleep.

    I'm decimated.

    Night all.

  10. Oh, very good, Scrub one and George. :)

It's probably lost 9/10ths of its' rosebuds, so does that count?

  11. Good night everyone
I'm just about to go out.
I noted there are a few new bars in the city.
But I won't be out for long.
An old timer like me needs his beauty sleep.
Yes, Zentiger, come to Christchurch, bring Lucyna and the kids for a little break. It's always a lovely city here.

  12. Hey y'all I've gotta say Chch in the spring's not bad at all. I'm a fan of further south though. Oh and Zen thanks for the pisstake - probably fair enough given my post but I'm pretty sure a paranoid dick is one that won't come out unless it's dark...

  13. Yep, the best view of the north island is over the stern with a heading towards the south. Christchurch will do if there is nothing else.

  14. Hi Robinsod - glad you 'got it' - that is, my mind (such as it was at that point in time) was bemused by the imagery of "paranoid dick" than being an attack on your opinion.

Not that I agree with you on this topic :-), but that's a different issue. I wasn't prepared to register with whatever new government department would spring up to track people's opinions (no-one has actually twigged that with a $5,000 limit, people putting in their two cents worth on blogs, will, if prolific, break this law in unexpected new ways.)
