Friday Night Free For All

Well, since I'm here first, I may as well open up, turn the lights on, put out the sausage rolls (they're slightly cold, sorry) and welcome one and all to our Friday Night free-for-all.

Make yourselves comfortable!

  1. Good evening. My wife has lost her glasses & what a little furore this is creating. Something to do with age, perhaps. Fortunately she has been home all day by herself ... so both protagonist and victim she be, so to speak ... this notion doesn't seem to be helping much though.

  2. oh dear! Not good...
My mother needs glasses for reading and years ago she found that the glasses from the $2 shop are better than the fancy ones she got from the optometrist. So now she's bought a pair for every room in the house so she'll always have a pair handy no matter what room she goes into.

  4. ps, if you're ever needing some new glasses, it might be cheaper to order them off the internet for as little as $40 - save hundreds of dollars! It's not such a bad idea as it sounds. There are 4 or 5 really good sites you can go to, to order glasses based on the own prescription that users have said are as good as or even better than their expensive pairs. Check out on bloggers experience HERE.
Also check out the Glassy Eyes blog which rates and keeps track of the more popular online-selling glasses sites.

  5. Your mother! Fletch ... you trying to date me here or something??
Situation wasn't altogether rectified by me finding said glasses tho.'
'Win, win' situations sometimes aren't that easy to find.

  6. Good move Fletch. Some-one has to keep these Friday things going. It's become a tradition, and traditions are tough things to protect at the moment.

  8. Absolutely Oswald. Heating the tin is optional - you can just stab the lid excessively with a screwdriver, in the tradition of a good thriller movie (shower scene) and then prise open the lid and consume.

Although, tossing the can in a handy fire (people should always keep a fire handy) does a good job of warming the meal.
