The video above is an interview with the mother of 18 year old Marla Cardamone who was killed while having an abortion (WARNING: Contains Graphic Images). She has given permission for pictures of her daughter and unborn granddaughter to be used in a campaign by pro-life group Life Dynamics. This is the first time images like this have been used and Marla's mother wants people to see what Planned Parenthood did to her daughter.
A pro-life group has released the graphic images today of a woman who was killed in a botched legal abortion. The group says they are some of the first images ever seen publicly of a woman who was brutalized by an abortion that claimed her life.- from LifeSiteNews
When 18-year-old Marla Cardamone was killed having an abortion at a Pennsylvania hospital, her mother, Deborah, vowed that she would never let her daughter be forgotten. Then, late last year, she approached the pro-life group Life Dynamics and asked the group’s president Mark Crutcher to help her show the public the risks women face when they submit to abortions.
Today, Life Dynamics is releasing a new brochure revealing what happened to Marla and her unborn son, including ghastly photos from Marla’s autopsy. The organization has also created a new website SafeandLegal.com that features the images and more information on how botched legal abortions kill and injure women.
“The pro-life movement has never had images to illustrate the unimaginable brutality and ugliness of women being killed in America’s “Safe and Legal” abortion clinics. But those days are over,” Crutcher told LifeNews. “We are going to show America what it looks like when women climb onto a table in one of these places and end up on an autopsy table a few hours later.”
One of the arguments for abortion is that if it is illegal then women will end up being butchered by back-alley abortionists. Well, the truth is that a lot of these Planned Parenthood 'surgeons' are just as bad.
In November, Planned Parenthood botched another abortion on a woman, that time in Indianapolis, Indiana. After injuring the woman, staffers at the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic attempted to hide the failed abortion from emergency dispatchers.
Now, lawmakers are seeking an investigation of the abortion business.
An ambulance was called to transport a woman in the middle of a second-trimester abortion to the hospital from a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Indianapolis on November 2 after the abortion practitioner refused to continue the abortion. The emergency was classified a Priority E, which reserved for the most severe cases, according to information Operation Rescue provided LifeNews at the time.
That was the seventeenth medical emergency documented by Operation Rescue at Planned Parenthood abortion clinics since January, 2011.

Do you actually care about what happened to 18-year-old Marla Cardamone, or is she just a convenient cudgel for your cause?
ReplyDeleteDid anyone gain Marla's consent to talk about her in this fashion? No, of course not, but that will never stop the creeps that inhabit America's "right to life" groups.
Sure, some women die when undergoing an abortion, just like a lot of people die from all sorts of complications in other medical procedures, not just abortion.
If you want to reduce abortions, then stop making it harder for women to get and use contraception.
If you want abortions to be safer, then stop hounding the doctors who perform abortions, stop demonising the women who have abortions. Treat abortion for what it is - a medical procedure, no different to any other.
And while your counting up the number of women who have died during an abortion, don't forget to also keep a tally of the women who died because they were denied a life saving abortion.
I don't like the way leftrightout expresses himself but using that poor girls naked body and exposing it in that way does not sit well with me at all.
ReplyDeleteThe cause is just, this is not the way to fight it.
Is this what we have come too, no respect for the departed?
How might she feel, her nakedness exposed to all?
LRO, as far as "life saving abortion" - EVERY abortion takes a life. It just happened in this case that it was two lives. No, Marla could not give her approval, because she is dead. It was her mother who decided that her death should mean something and that she would have an open casket at the funeral, much the same way as Emmet Till's mother decided to have an open casket for him during the Civil Rights movement in the 60s so people could see him.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the images are shocking. But too often we see a headline in a newspaper.
A woman dies during abortion - an abortion she didn't need by the way - her baby was totally healthy, unlike what Marla's specialist had told her it might be. They had told her that the prescription medicine she was on would make her baby deformed or disabled - a lie.
A relative of mine was told the same thing - that she should have an abortion because the medicine she was taking would make the baby disabled. She did a lot of soul searching before finally going to see another doctor who told her that the medicine would have no effect actually. So she had the baby and it was fine.
In any case, perhaps these images might make a woman think twice about having an abortion - a medical procedure that is totally unnecessary and totally selfish in most cases. It is not a "medical procedure, no different to any other". Most medical procedures are because the patient is ill or sick. Is a baby a sickness now? It is looked upon in some circles as a tumour or a growth that has to be removed.
I believe the tide is turning on abortion. According to the latest Gallup poll, in 1996, 56% of those questioned in a poll said they were pro-choice, now it is down to 41%
In 1996 only 33% said they were pro-life, now that figure is up to 50% in 2012 - so more people are pro-life than pro-choice.

ReplyDeleteAbortion is a war against women and children. In war, it is often necessary to shock the complacent with images of the dead.
ReplyDeleteIs this what we have come too, no respect for the departed?
ReplyDeleteApparently, it is. What Marla might think about photos of her demise made public on the internet to serve a political end doesn't seem to have occurred to a single one of those involved.
