Watch out the book burners

You may have heard Ian Wishart has written a book about the Kahui case with input from Macsyna King, the twins mother.

This has got some anonymous group all worked up
"Somebody like this should not be allowed to profit from preaching her perverted view of the horrific events which led to the deaths of the only two children who hadn't already been taken from her by CYF's"
according to a facebook site set up to urge a boycott of the book.

Just why Macsyna King shouldn't be allowed to put her story into the public domain in this manner is unclear to me.

If you are interested in hearing her point of view please feel free to buy the book, if you are not particularly interested - spend your money on something else. It's as simple as that.

If you are interested in the point of view of book boycott urgers go read their facebook page. If you think they are probably a dreary bunch (you would be correct) don't bother clicking my link.

  1. A pretty strange point of view Andrei.
Those two babes were horribly neglected and beaten, King spent welfare payments on drugs and partying, while her twins lay malnourished, brutally beaten and dying. And Wishart makes a book from it, and gives her air?
Go the Facebook page, where the outrage is warranted.
I've totally lost respect for this blog though, not to mention, two-faced Wishart!

  2. and I forgot to add, justice is totally shut out from this case, forever. Wishart nentions the Kahui case in his diatribe Absolute Power, and now he is aiding one of the parents involved. Go figure.

  3. I'm sorry you feel that way - Betty blue.

We all feel absolutely sick to the stomach over the Kahui case you know. I don't know anybody who isn't.

Macsyna King is a pretty marginal person you know, further marginalizing her by denying her her voice isn't going to help anything - might help reduce the number of marginal people if people hear her. Probably not but who knows.

You don't have to believe what she says or support what she believes - you don't even have to read the book if you don't want to. You can just ignore it if you like.

  4. Better that evil is NOT hidden away, but is put under the spotlight!

  5. I'm a member of the boycott Facebook page because I firmly believe that if King has anything to say she should say it to the police so that her children can have some justice.

  6. Trouble is, MK will have given her own version of events. Do you really believe she's going to tell all that happened and all that she knows?
If she's so keen to tell her side of the story, then how come she wouldn't tell it to the police five long years ago?
Hmmm. It's just a bad taste book. They were her babies, for crying out loud.
And what of all the taxpayer money that Kahui and King wasted on drugs and a good time? It would be wrong not to be outraged.
The evil is still hidden because the truth will never be known, except by the culprit/s.
