It's not the only one in the area sadly. Upper Victoria Street is now full of brothels, pawn shops and loan sharks all servicing the casino.
ReplyDeleteWell, so much for the heritage listing. Where were all the tree huggers who should have demanded gazzilions of somebody else's money be spent to save this decrepit pile of old bricks?
ReplyDeleteAdolf: they turned up, but so far as I know they didn't offer to hold up the structure themselves until it could be stabilized.
ReplyDeleteAndrei: unfortunately the owner would doubtless build a new building and use that.
