I would have enjoyed being one the first ladies to meet the Pope during G8 Summit. Though, there ought be be some sort of rule against having a skirt shorter than the Pope. And, the lady in blue with the floor length skirt, is also the only one who doesn't look like she's going to a funeral!
Ok, now that I've got that out of the way, it's Friday and it's chat time!
All those black dresses. Not Nuns with bad habits are they?
ReplyDeleteNooo.. The one 2nd to the right of the Holy Father is Gordon Brown's wife. She really needs a longer skirt.
ReplyDeletegood evening people.
ReplyDeleteEvening .. she does indeed need a longer skirt, Lucia.
ReplyDeleteBut black is nice, & short can be too ... & good to see that Zen is still skirting those especial interests ... it must be really difficult taming the tiger in him.

ReplyDeleteEvening all. Haven't seen you guys around this neck of the woods in a while.
ReplyDeleteHi Andy and Mojo!
ReplyDeleteMojo, he's just a big pussy cat when it comes down to it.
Aha .. had thought that I may have been habitually killing the discourse ... oh dear, paranoia ... but have been peeping!
ReplyDeleteAlmost sounds Keatish i.e. romantic, no?
ReplyDeleteVery Keatish Mojo, although a roman with a tic might indeed kill discourse, although I thought Roman Emperors talked with a lisp?
ReplyDeleteWell, fanatics have their dreams, wherewith they weave
A paradise for a sect; the savage too
From forth the loftiest fashion of his sleep
Guesses at Heaven; pity these have not
Trac'd upon vellum or wild Indian leaf
The shadows of melodious utterance.
Or so they say.
You know, Mojo, half the time I have no idea what you are talking about. Too much innuendo and not enough plain talking. But, that's ok.
ReplyDeleteChanging the subject at this point would probably be a good idea.
Ah. I spoke too soon.
ReplyDeleteGood evening all.
ReplyDeleteNay, not innuendo, merely the Times Cryptic (4 across - simple conversation on a yacht (5,7);
ReplyDeleteplain sailing
I'm not here BB. I left 2 minutes ago to pick up the pizza. Help yourself to a cold one. Hopefully, it's in your fridge, where you left it.
ReplyDeleteA lisp, Zen ... lest you go too far in disparaging such, is but a bad habit.
ReplyDelete& tics, well, they are simply delightful ... akin to wearing ones emotions on ones sleeve.\
But oh ... 'seasons of mist & mellow fruitfulness ...' It has been pretty inclement lately, even now.
Lucia ... 'it's only words, & words are all I have ...'
I know, I just can't help myself.
Am I really that vague, Zen??
ReplyDeleteNoooo ... no more than you, you little tigress you.
ReplyDeleteHi BB!
ReplyDeleteI have just returned from the kitchen where Asterix the kitten was sitting next to the stove, waiting for a mouse. Having seen a mouse run from the stove to under the kitchen bench before, I thought I'd pull the drawer at the bottom of the stove out. And lo and behold, there was a dead mouse there, just at the point where either opening and closing the drawer previously had killed it or my heating up the oven earlier in the day had done the trick. Getting the mouse off Asterix was a little difficult, but it's now in the bin.
Some time tomorrow, the remaining gaps that allow mice to get in via the under kitchen sink area will be patched up. And the excitement for the cats will hopefully be over - they'll have to go outside to catch their mice.
Which they have. Earlier this week, our oldest cat Minx, caught a mouse and let Asterix play with it. I was amazed. She's gone from hating the kitten's guts to letting her play with prey, just like Minx did with her own kittens when she had them.
Vague? I don't think so Mojo.
ReplyDeleteHello all
ReplyDeleteNice photo to start things off. Actually looks like an exclusive brethren family photo, if you take out The Pope.
have yet to see EB in skirts that short...
ReplyDeleteZen & ommmm ... almost one & the same ... a moulding of minds ...
ReplyDeleteThat would be "Zen and ummm", a mouldy mind...
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of photos, have people seen the painting of famous people and places, it's fun putting a face to a name. I can dig up the link if you haven't seen this.
Yep, sub titles ... dig it up, I need fun.
ReplyDeleteFamous people and places
ReplyDeleteWorth a look.
Note: Best to launch the link from the main blog post, not the pop-up box. Click through on the camel to see "celebrities that made it even though they look like a camel (Which could be taken as a compliment!).
ReplyDeleteHilarious.
Good to see Dolly the Sheep made it. I couldn't find Helen Clark though.
