Socialist Culture of Death Raises Head Again

handIn today's news, The Government is considering making the Morning After Pill free for teenage girls. What are they thinking??!! It seems like they're trying to do as much damage to the country as they possibly can before they get thrown out. If they think that this is going to decrease the number of abortions then they are seriously wrong. It will increase them and give these girls a feeling that should they choose to have sex at an early age then they have this FREE option to fall back on. And I'm betting the parents don't need to be told, either.

This seems to be furthering along their 'alleged' agenda to break up families.

To add to this, Helen announced the other day that funding of $146 million would be given for a drug to be administered to teenage girls to combat HPV (human papilloma virus) which is named as the root cause of 90% of cervical cancer cases. One of ways to catch HPV is to have 'unprotected' sex with many partners. I say 'unprotected' but studies have proven that condoms don't make a huge difference in combating HPV. Of course, this seemed to be in direct contrast to the Government's 'Hubba Rubba' campaign of a couple of years back which claimed that condoms would protect against this.

So now, it's on to another bandaid 'cure' for the diseases largely caused by unprotected, promiscuous sex. The message this government seems to be putting out to young people is not to worry about self-control. Do what you feel like - run wild - and we'll try to clean up the mess afterwards.

  1. Good post Fletch.

I agree. It almost seems to me that Helen and co. have decided the jig is up, and they are going to push through a whole bunch of social Marxist ideologies before they get knobbled in the next election.

Of course none of her coterie have children so it won't affect them.

  2. I'm struggling to see a problem here.

First of all, strip out your emotional headline, and what have you got left? A rant against something because you don't like it.

I'm a socialist, and I don't have a culture of death, whatever you think you mean by that. Funnily enough, socialists believe in life and humanity.

So, where's the supposed problem with a morning after pill? Have you never made a mistake? I don't believe it.

There is no method of contraception that is 100% effective (I even have a friend who fathered a child several years after vasectomy). So, if contraception fails, why not an option? Because your reliogious view is that people must suffer for making a mistake?

And vaccination? I guess you don't like it a) because you don't like vaaccination and b) because it provides protection against a nasty disease.

Self control may well have been OK for The People of The Book when marriage was around 14, but not in today's world where marriage is delayed. And anyway, why should your form of self control be the same self control for everyone? I'm not on this earth to be a martyr, I am here to enjoy all life offers.

I have self control. I have also had multiple sex partners, and will probably continue to do so until I die. But my self control extends to only being in one sexual relationship at a time? What is wrong with that?

it is wrong, because everything you have just said reveals your underlying worldview that other people are there only for your own amusement or pleasure. And that is
    pretty cynical.

When it gets boring, you simply walk away.

    As Mark Twain wrote:
"Man is the only creature that blushes, indeed it is the only one that needs to."

Just make sure that doesn't include killing unborn babies, or mis-using vast quantities of state money for dubious, somewhat unproven return.

Also, if the morning after pill is to be given to pre-teens then the parents better know about it, and the parents of the girls partner. Unless the person involved is over 16, then the police need to know too.

  5. Some of the above responses remind me of some of the lyrics to Madonna's new song (with Justin Timberlake) '4 Minutes To Save The World'

The road to hell is paved with good intentions,
But if I die tonight at least I can say I did what I wanted to do
    Tell me how 'bout you?

I guess that is the world-view of a lot of people.

  6. Basically, I think Labour is waiting for the invention of Soma (Brave New World) or Bliss Ultra (Oryx and Crake).
