A recent UN report claimed a new human right to explicit sexual education for young children.
So, the author of the report wants babies sexually messed with by governments.
It seem Muñoz is a homosexual with pedophiliac tendencies. I wonder if he's related to Alfred Kinsey?

The African and Caribbean blocs led the widespread hostility toward the report by registering their “strong rejection” and “strong disapproval.”
The report claims a new human right to sexual education citing non-binding recommendations and other UN reports including the controversial UNESCO guidelines on sexual education and the Yogyakarta Principles. The report's author, Victor Muñoz, argues that States have an obligation to ensure this new right “from the early stages of life.”
So, the author of the report wants babies sexually messed with by governments.
Ignoring the ongoing heated debate at the UN over terms dealing with “sexual orientation” and “gender identity,” Muñoz insists that sexual education include information on “sexual diversity.” Muñoz blasts abstinence programs, which he argues normalizes stereotypes and promotes discriminatory images because they are based on “heteronormativity.”
Muñoz added that denying the existence of lesbian, gay, transsexual, transgender and bisexual population exposes these groups to discrimination.
It seem Muñoz is a homosexual with pedophiliac tendencies. I wonder if he's related to Alfred Kinsey?

O do come on Lucia, even for you this is an incredibly long bow.
ReplyDeleteI am curious to know wy 90% of religion seems to be about 2 topics - sex and food.Well, actually I know, as along with shelter they are the most primal of life's urgers and as we developedinto communities, it was necessary to make rules about these things.
But our development has continued and some of the old rules are other no longer needed (eg kosher slaughter and prohibitions on eating shellfish as refrigeration solves storage problems) or are no longer practical, such as abstinence before marriage. Absitenence was easy when the age of marriage coincided roughly with the age of puberty and sexual maturity. How old was Jesus's mother?

Over on kiwiblog you go even further with the fatuous claim Paedophiles often blame young children for coming on to them. Sexually aware children will be in even greater danger.
Do you have any evidence of that? Because party A choses to blame party B does not mean party B is guilty.
I was once approached by a paedophileand escaped by good luck, not good management. My naivety almost lead me in to a terrible situation. Had I been less naive and more sexually educated I would have had the knowledge to seek immediate help. It wasn't until several years later that I became fully aware of what was happening that day and how it could have turned nasty for me.
Education = knowledge = power.
Why are you so afraid of your children knowing the truth about sex?
LRO,

The direct quote is in my post, but for you, I'll repeat it.
"The report's author, Victor Muñoz, argues that States have an obligation to ensure this new right “from the early stages of life.”
Now, for the translation.
If a State is to ensure this "new right", then it is up to the government of the State to do the ensuring.
And what would you consider "early stages of life" to mean? Governments will have a bit of trouble "educating" those still in the womb, but once they are born, they'll be fair game. Today 3 & 4 year olds, maybe in the future as the "right" becomes entrenched as something so fundamentally necessary that the consent of the parents will become irrelevant, maybe 1 & 2 year olds? It's not outside the realm of possibility.
If Kinsey can record the sexual responses of 2-month old babies, I'm sure the pushers of these new rights can work out a way to teach those same babies all about sex.
Now, as for your question why a great deal of religion appears to be about sex (& food), you should read the link off my previous post. Peter Kreeft's conclusion will give you the answer for that, if you really want to know that is.
LRO, it's the UN who is all fired up over sex. Since they broached the subject, it is permissible to discuss it, surely? Or do you have hang-ups about discussing sex education to the point you want to squeal about anyone who answers their directives?
ReplyDeleteThe issue here is that the State is assuming responsibility for the parents. We understand why - secular society doesn't put much effort into promoting family values, it's more about individual gratification.
I was once approached by a paedophileand escaped by good luck, not good management. My naivety almost lead me in to a terrible situation.
OK, so your parents were lousy at teaching you. I guess that explains a lot. The thing is, my children new from a young age the dangers from strangers. I didn't need to detail anal sex at age 8 for them to get an idea that some people who seem friendly might not be.
Why are you so afraid of your children knowing the truth about sex?
I'm not. And I'm quite capable of teaching them, I don't need the calculated brutality of the State to do it for me.
