Hi Zen, Hi Lucyna

How's the coast tonite?

Its so cold down here I reckon Al Gore is in town.

D'ya reckon Sonic has assassinated Murray?

Lucia Maria said...

Hi Andrei and Zen,

It's really windy around here and cool, but the fire's on and the windows and doors are closed.

I'll paste that picture in, in a minute or so.

I don't think Murray could be assassinated.

nice and warm in the bay of islands, good evening everybody.

Oswald Bastable said...

cool here and vey windy

Barnsley Bill said...

Has anybody had contact with murray?

Lucia Maria said...

Hi Bill and Oswald.

What, you have nice weather, Bill! The wind seems to be blowing from either the north or the west (it's so gusty, it's hard to tell and I'm not going outside to re-check), so you must be sheltered from it.

Oswald Bastable said...

His phone has been cut off

Lucia Maria said...

His latest post on his site says (in the comments), that his phone has been disconnected and he has no internet connection. Hopefully he has power.

Lucia Maria said...

Ha, you bet me to it, Oswald. Note to self, next time, shorter message.

Andrei said...

Perhaps we need to get this guy onto the problem with Murray's phone and internet

without looking at the link andrei I guess you are linking to a story about the sheehan suckhole. Lucyna, we are having an incredibly mild and benign winter up here. I was swimming in our unheated pool until a few weeks ago, my pineapples are still growing outside and we have only really lit a fire at night because we have an embarrassingly large amount of firewood to get through.

ZenTiger said...

Hi guys. To all the folks that have been waiting for me to do something - sorry - been a bit snowed under - am starting to catch up though, so stand by.

I hope Murray is OK. I'll see if I can track him down...and report back.

Time for me to find my "Joke of the weak" Back soon.

Oswald Bastable said...

Its not really what I would call cold for June.

We only have the fire going because the person that lights it isn't the one who cuts the wood!

Oswald Bastable said...

I think hes OK, just broke

Lucia Maria said...

We have gas, and it's cozy and takes the chill out of the air and I like to be warm.

None of this put on another jersey for me!

Bill, from what I've heard from everyone that collects firewood is that it's ultra dry and therefore ultra-hot when it burns as well. Kind of like a double whammy if you're burning it and it's still not cold enough for it.

Harry, Bill and Steve are sitting at the corner bar enjoying themselves, when Ted walks in looking distressed.

"Ted, you look awful. What's wrong?" Harry asks.

Ted says, "Last night I got really drunk, and then somewhere between here and my house, I was abducted by an alien?"

Everyone is shocked. "I heard about this kind of thing happening!" Bills says. "What did the alien do to you?"

"I don't remeber all the details," Ted says. "All I remember is being anally probed by the alien."

Everyone is horrified. "I heard that they'll do that!" Steve says. "What did the alien look like?"

Ted responds, "Carl."

Would you guys just go out and get sloshed like normal people...??!!

Its sad thinking of you all at home on a Friday night huddled around you mac's/PC's keeping warm by discussing bollocks....

Atheist pity shoutout to my churchy friends.....:-(

Anonymous said...

I have probabaly spilt more grog in my life than you have drunk Jimmy. If you want to listen to people talking bollockstake a recorder with you next time you get sloshed

Lucia Maria said...

James, it is possible to stay at home on a Friday night, and enjoy being at home on a Friday night, and it all being good without having to go out and get drunk.

No pity needed.

By George ... coldish, occasionally blustery & starry, starry night in the north east. Certainly no fun to be on the high seas in a tinny with an off shore gale & only a set of oars.
It's the inner warmth that counts tho.'
Interesting joke Zen ... also interesting in its accuracy - a lack of a grip on reality is often associated with a preoccupation with orifice - not simply the prerogative of young kids & old men ... but then you obviously knew that, sigh.

Evening all.

Ah, the responsibility of children James!

I no longer desire to go out pubbing and clubbing on a Friday night. Quite happy pottering around, checking the blog every now and then, with a glass of red or a Carlsberg (Carl?) in hand, veggin' out after a hard week's yakka.

It was the short sharp punchline "Carl" that kinda appealed. Makes me think back to the TV show Rhoda "Hello, I'm Carlton your doorman". Liked that line too. It was all in the delivery.

Keep telling yourselves that....;-)

I was home too and not sloshed in the least but still felt sorry for you all just sitting there waiting for death to come about so you can divi up the eternal pot and really get partying with Jesus and crew.

;-)

Your impression of my life seems pretty far off the mark. The advantages of blogging, I suppose ;-)

Good afternoon everyone

My desire to go out and get pissed at night has gone too.
I'd much rather get tiddly at home with some Lindauer or some of Marlborough's finest sauv blanc.
Though that didn't stop me going to the 'Occidental' Belgian Beef cafe for a good lunch.
But just two Kreik cherry beers made me somewhat unproductive yesterday afternoon.
You have a lovelty lounge Zen and Lucyna:)
How about a view of the patio next week, or a view from it?
By then, I should be well settled in Waiwera, in a flat by the spa pools overlooking the sea.
Better than the noise of the big bad city.
And I should have home internet by then.

Howdy Darren. Welcome to the NZ conservative lounge room. Bean bags on the left for the hip and hippy, leather sofa to the right of the roaring fire for those desiring a little refined comfort, and some kneeling stools for those that like to commune with their inner thoughts rather than comment directly.

And this talk about staying home rather than going out on the town - we are talking only of Friday night aren't we?

As I was out this monring from 1-30am to 5am with friends on K Road, i guess so.
