Apparently, the single biggest impact on reducing Global Warming, at a personal level, is to become vegetarian. So my challenge to all those that believe we must reverse our CO2 levels or die - go vegan. Leave a comment indicating that you have converted to a vegan lifestyle as part of your commitment to your cause.
And the related Link - Gore might possibly be a hypocrite - indicates that Al Gore knows fully the impact such a switch would have, being an expert and all, and yet he continues to allegedly eat meat. Another bum steer from the man whose house consumes more electricity in a month than the average American family manages in a year.

... and then another Pinatubo, Mt.St.Helens or Krakatoa erupts, spews ash, H2SO4, and CO2 spoiling all your hard work...
ReplyDeleteAs to the greatest effect, is going vego better than buying a Prius, building an electric car, installing fluro lights, a heat pump, 6-star appliances, insulation, and solar and wind power.
ReplyDeleteApparently, it is. The whole livestock thing is over 100 times more polluting.
ReplyDeleteThen again, others have pointed out a Prius is more environmentally unfriendly than the family sedan because the manufacturing process causes far more pollution than the net benefits of low emissions post production, when compared to the production footprint plus running footprint of your typical family car.
Go figure.
Wouldn't it be more environmentally friendly to kill an animal and eat it?
ReplyDeleteJust think of all the methane and carbon dixode an elephant or a rhino puts out in a day.
We should allow all year round hunting again in Africa.
Let's get rid of greenhouse gas producing wildlife.
