Poshest place to push trying to be pro-life

Doctors at two Catholic run hospitals in London are ignoring the requests of their boards to not provide abortions or contraceptives to patients. I suppose they are not firing doctors because of Britain's pro-abortion and employment laws.

  1. Is this a case of what goes around comes around?

The catholic church has a contract to manage a public hospital in Canberra. They are refusing abortions and family planning services, even though it is a state funded hospital

  5. If the state wants to employ catholics to run their hospitals then catholics can decide the policy. If the state dont like it then they should get someone else to run the hospitals.

  6. Why is it that there is no 'cultural sensitivity' towards Catholics eh? :)

It's well known that the Catholic Church opposes abortion so why do secular managers feign golly gosh suprise when there is a fuss?

  9. Come on fugley, some common sense!!!

Which ever politician put the catholic church in charge of this hospital MUST have known their veiws on such issues. If it's not in the contract the Church can do whatever they want!!!

  10. oVERUSE OF EXCLAMATION MARKS ADDS NOTHING TO THE WEIGHT OF YOUR ARGUMENT, IT JUST MAKES YOU LOOK DUMB.

oF COURSE, ACCEPTING A CONTRACT TO RUN A STATE FUNDED PUBLIC HOSPITAL SHOULD AHVE ALERTED THE MICKS TO THE FACT THEY'D BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE ALL LEGALLY AVAILABLE MEDICAL SERVICES.

  12. I refer you to my previous comment. Everyone knows that catholic churches views on such issues, so why give them a contract if you want abortion/birth control.

  14. Perhaps the board needs to reconsider funding for these doctors, move them along perhaps. But then there is the PC-brigade to contend with, where would the aborted be without leftists, oh that's right alive.
