Labour Party have confirmed their policies are written in Washington, and then trialled by Kevin Rudd, Australian Labor Party.
The funding for Labour's election advertising however, is 100% paid for by kiwi families.

Translation: Labour used stock footage of an American family (the only happy family they could find apparently) which was the same material used by Kevin Rudd in his campaign, (perhaps he didn't want to take photos of happy Australian families because chances are they were Kiwis!) but of course, the NZ tax payer paid for the adverts because they came out of the Leaders Fund - a amount of money Parliamentary Service provides for MPs to inform the public on MP matters. This however, is effectively a solicitation for votes so we should see it counted towards their election spending cap. Maybe.
