Putin still defending Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact that started WWII

Photo: EPA/SERGEI ILNITSKY ( Source ) Angela Merkel is trying to talk sense into Vladimir Putin. Unfortunately, it's still not working. Russian President Vladimir Putin defended 1939's Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact between the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany as Moscow's response to being isolated and having its peace efforts snubbed by Western nations. At the close of his Sunday meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Moscow — a day after Russian held grand-scale celebrations of the allied victory in World War II — Putin offered a lengthy defense of the controversial agreement that led to the carving up of Eastern Europe. "The Soviet Union made massive efforts to lay the groundwork for a collective resistance to Nazism in Germany, made repeated attempts to create an anti-fascist bloc in Europe. All of these attempts failed," Putin told journalists a...

Russia and WWII

My father fought the evil of fascism, but he was taken advantage of by another evil. He and millions of Soviet soldiers, sailors and airmen, virtual slaves, brought the world not liberation but another slavery. The people sacrificed everything for victory, but the fruits of this victory were less freedom and more poverty. The above paragraph by Mikhail Shishkin published as part of his opinion piece in the New York Times several days ago, I think, is the quintessential summary of Russia and WWII. It does not deny the victory of the Russian people, yet it also does not deny their involvement in bringing misery to many more. To admit this requires a strength and a humility to look into the face of evil, see yourself, and not be consumed or capitulate to it. This is something that all of us, at some point or another have to do when confronting our own past, because no one has an unblemished history. Without justice the state is nothing more than a band of robbers [UPDATE]

Pope Benedict XVI is currently visiting Germany. Here is his speech to the German Parliament, where he talks about the necessity for justice in politics, else the State is nothing more than a band of robbers.

Sex education results in parents being jailed in Germany [UPDATE]

Germany has to be one of the most perverted Western nations around right now. Ve vill teach your children about sex or else! The "or else" is being imprisoned for refusing to allow the state to give their children very explicit sex education. Authorities in Paderborn, Germany, today sent two fathers to jail for refusing to allow the public school system to indoctrinate their children with a sex philosophy that "if it feels good, do it." Another student's mother already had been imprisoned for the same offense. Did WW2 teach the Germans nothing??? On related topic, police have busted the largest paedophile ring in the world .  It was run from The Netherlands and had 70,000 members. The site boylover.net posed as a discussion forum for people wanting to talk about their sexual feelings towards boys. But as covert officers infiltrated the site they discovered users were sharing films and images of children being abused. ... Most of the 184 people arres...

The Nazi Pedophile Priest Scare

“There are cases of sexual abuse that come to light every day against a large number of members of the Catholic clergy. Unfortunately it’s not a matter of individual cases, but a collective moral crisis that perhaps the cultural history of humanity has never before known with such a frightening and disconcerting dimension. Numerous priests and religious have confessed. There’s no doubt that the thousands of cases which have come to the attention of the justice system represent only a small fraction of the true total, given that many molesters have been covered and hidden by the hierarchy.” Does the above quote come from an editorial from a newspaper in 2010? No, it’s from a speech of May 28, 1937, by Joseph Goebbels (1897-1945), Minister of Propaganda for the Third Reich. It was just after the Pope of the day had released an encyclical condemning the Nazi regime. A very interesting article. According to the article -

German Homeschoolers seek Political Asylum

In the 1930's, Hitler's Germany outlawed home-schooling. All children had to be educated by the State, any who were not were a threat to State hegemony. Post-war, this law was not enforced but remained on the books. Home-schooling, while not common in Germany, nevertheless slowly grew. Until 2006 that is. But even then a marked sea-change in the government’s attitude was underway, and by 2006, the succeeding Education Minister K. Horstmann, made clear its policy. He warned homeschooling families: “The education administration in future will also not recognize so-called homeschooling and act in proportionate measure considering the individual case and circumstances.” Proportionate measure has meant fines, threats of prison, armed police storming families' homes to snatch children in the middle of the night. One family has fled to the US and is currently awaiting a verdict on their request for political asylum. "If the political asylum application is granted it will ...

Home schooling like driving drunk in Germany

Ah, Germany. Where home-schooling has been illegal since the days of Hitler. Now a judge in Germany has sentenced home-schooling parents to three months jail for continuing to home-school their children. I'm a home-schooling parent. We're coming up to our one year anniversary of home-schooling again this time around (my oldest was previously hs'ed to age 7 before he went to school). So, I'm with the parents on this one. Home-schooling may be "illegal" in Germany, but there are some laws that were made to be broken. Laws that are immoral, for instance. The state has absolutely no right to require children to go to school, for the sole reason that the family has precedence over the state in the education of children. For this reason, I support the breaking of the law in Germany by these home-schooling parents. Related Link: Judge: Homeschooling like driving drunk ~ WorldNetDaily For more, see

Government Sponsored Pedophilia

The German Family Commission takes it's job of destroying families seriously with the publishing of a handy taxpayer funded book advocating incest and pedophilia: Fathers do not devote enough attention to the clitoris and vagina of their daughters. Their caresses too seldom pertain to these regions, while this is the only way the girls can develop a sense of pride in their sex,” reads the booklet regarding 1-3 year olds. Now that the sh*t has hit the fan, the booklet has been pulled. Gee, didn't get away with it this year. That's not good enough. People should lose their jobs over this. It's about time we remind our law makers that they were entrusted with the job of preserving society, not destroying it. To the square root or death!

There's an interesting wrangle going on in the EU at the moment. The voting system of the countries in the EU is set to change, except for one minor problem - Poland is threatening to veto it. Under the proposed new “double majority” voting system for the Council of Ministers – the EU’s main lawmaking body – each country is awarded votes directly related to the size of its population. Poland has 27 votes in the Council, compared with 29 for Germany. Under the new voting system, Germany’s share of the vote would sharply increase, since its 82m population is twice that of its eastern neighbour. Warsaw has vowed to fight for “the square root or death” , a reference to its favoured voting formula – based on the square root of a country’s population – which would flatten the difference in power between countries. Berlin has rejected it outright. Related Link: Warsaw digs in over new EU treaty
