Labour now want to pass a law to make donating to a political party a statutory requirement, should you vote. You vote, your party gets paid $2 from tax payer funds. If you don't like any of the parties, abstaining from voting actually does send a message. Just wait for the legislation to end "apathy" and force people to allocate their two bucks.
This is probably not the time to mention Labour still haven't repaid the $800,000 they owe from the last election. Back then, they thought they were entitled to money from the public purse. They legislated themselves out of any hint of criminal charges and ending a court action. Now they are legislating themselves the money they figured they are rightfully entitled to. The conclusion one comes to is that Labour wants to go on the dole.
