Technically impressive, but somehow it misses the mark, for me at least. Ugly, complex, impossibly expensive... For just a few million more one could buy a 1960's Ferrari Testa Rossa. Well--about ten million more, but at this level, who's counting?
Personally, I'd be happy with a Corvette. Nothing fancy, nothing too special. But I do like the concept that in 'speed mode' it's front diffuser panels close, the ride height drops and a tail spoiler pops up - all to reduce the drag. Fun.
And the black/red model looks better than the silver in the picture.
I'm not thinking about the money. That would provoke some logical need to perform a comparitive evaluation - and spoil the fun.
It surely is, ZT. But since leaving the N.T. I can no longer do both..*sigh* (Trips outback in the N.T. are often measured by cartons, ie a two-carton trip might be around 600km and so on) Amazingly, not a lot of people seem to get killed. Mind you, there's not much to run into...

Fails on one major point, no sunroof so you can't use it for spotlighting. I'll stick with the Hi-Lux.
ReplyDeleteI like the Corvette too Zen, especially that new Z06, light body, kick-ass engine.
ReplyDelete"light body" MK?
ReplyDeleteNot turning into a closet greenie, are you?
I doubt it KG. I like a good power-to-weight ratio to get off the mark quickly.
ReplyDeleteGoing from zero to max in nanoseconds if as good as a beer on a hot summer's day.
