Paedophilia conference in Baltimore

It's coming soon, the normalisation of adults having sex with children.  Society is almost ready for it.  The word just has to be redefined to "minor-attracted person" - that's a euphemism for a paedophile for those slow to catch on.  Then we have to think of them as being unjustly persecuted and the whole notion that children could consent to sex.  Just revolting where this is heading.
BALTIMORE, MD, August 23, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Pro-family advocates who attended a controversial pro-pedophilia conference in Baltimore last week say they were profoundly shaken by what they saw and heard.

“As a former law enforcement officer I’ve dealt with situations involving suicide, homicide and other violence. That said, I’ve never felt the level of spiritual oppression and evil that I felt in that room,” Liberty Counsel Action Vice President Matt Barber told LifeSiteNews.

"I've never felt the level of spiritual oppression and evil that I felt in that room,” Liberty Counsel Action Vice President Matt Barber told LifeSiteNews.

“These mental health ‘professionals,’ and self-described pedophile and ‘gay’ activists were inexplicably able to cavalierly discuss, in an almost dismissive way, the idea of child rape,” Barber said. “They used flowery, euphemistic psychobabble to give quasi-scientific cover to a discussion about the worst kind of perversion.”

The organization B4U-ACT sponsored the event in Baltimore last week, which was attended by pro-pedophile activists and mental health professionals. The conference examined the ways in which “minor-attracted persons” could be involved in a revision of the American Psychological Association (APA) classification of pedophilia.

Conference panelists included Fred Berlin of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Renee Sorentino of Harvard Medical School, John Sadler of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and John Breslow of the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Speakers addressed the around 50 individuals in attendance on themes ranging from the notion that pedophiles are “unfairly stigmatized and demonized” by society to the idea that “children are not inherently unable to consent” to sex with an adult. Also discussed were arguments that an adult’s desire to have sex with children is “normative” and that the APA’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) ignores the fact that pedophiles “have feelings of love and romance for children” in the same way adult heterosexuals and homosexuals have romantic feelings for one another.

I know what Matt Barber means when he says he felt spiritual oppression. It's like a heavy pressure around your head that feels really bad. It's a sign of an active demonic presence.

  1. I feel simultaneously like there's a lot to say about this... but also nothing at all to say about it. It was obvious that it would happen.

And it's obvious that it's going to get worse until we repent, or God destroys us.

  2. Samson,

    Yeah.

I just watched The Rite the other week, a movie about demonic possession and a seminarian's struggle with faith. It had a little in their on the rape of the young as a passing comment, as something is that is most definitely demonically inspired.

  3. This has been coming for years. Once consent becomes the benchmark for morality it's just a question of accepting minor's consent.

Look at abortion for minors, if a girl can consent (even at 13) then aborting her child without her parents being informed is legally acceptable. If a 13 year old can consent to abortion, why not sex?

  4. Completely spot-on, Muerk.

After a lot that I've seen and read over the past year or so, I believe it should no longer be possible for believing Christians in the West to miss the fact that our society is under terrible spiritual attack. You can *feel* it in a way that was not so palpable even five or ten years ago.

  5. I have my son in high school this year (after a number of years home-schooling), and the stories he tells me of boys in his class bragging about how many girls they've slept with. And the attempts in the first part of the year by the boys to make him look at pornography, which most of them look at. I've excluded him from sex-education, which is this term, but the longer he is at school, the more I just want to pull him out.

  6. Really wish I had editing rights on these comments - that glaring spelling mistake in my first comment is just grating! :)

  7. Lucia Maria:

Is it a Catholic high school?

  8. Muerk,

No, just a co-ed public school. No Catholic highschools in this area. The closest is an hour's train ride into the city and then a bus trip from the station, maybe a 20 minute or 30 minute journey.

  9. I wonder how many on this list attended.

That's a lot of names from a single diocese.

  10. LRO,

Are you saying the people in the link did attend or are you just fishing?

  11. I think most of them are either too old or dead by now LRO, and the point of the post was to wonder if our culture is sliding so much that pedophilia will only be frowned upon if a Priest is involved. That certainly seems to be the only criteria you concern yourself with.

I note that CYFS are admitting to finding abuse cases in foster carers they themselves appoint (Dom Post, 27 Aug 2011).

But CYFS also investigate their own cases, and they tell us we can be satisfied they have taken appropriate action, even where children remain with the same caregivers.

Back in 2005, the same thing by CYFS. And it was promised that they would set up a system to publish the results. Except they haven't managed to do that after 6 years, so well behind the Boston Diocese you got those figures from LRO.

Might be time to focus on the present day issues. At some point I'll do a post on the Green Paper.

Of course, and it can't be wrong if people find themselves naturally disposed that way through no choice of their own.

Now why does that sounds familiar?

  13. I was abused from the age of 11 and sent to a childrens home in Stafford, one of the Pindown homes. The people in charge were letting people in to the home to rape some of the children. No doubt that would have been my fate too, if I had not had a mental breakdown (caused by the terror I felt at being locked up in a little cell by those people and feeling powerless and trapped) and been carted off to a psychiatric hospital instead.

I was put in care as a "place of safety", because I had been raped by a family member.

That was 40 years ago. I have been reabused, persecuted, given lots of tranquellisors and sleeping pills and have suffered depression most of my life, but I am still here thank God, which is more than I can say for some of the others that bwent through the Pindown regime.

We Pindown survivors have to fight just for the basic human rights that everyone is supposed to have. Everyone who tries to help us seems to get persecuted.

The governments round the world are trying to cover up what happened and they cant. Paedophilia cannot ever be legalised, if it was the whole structure of society would fall apart and there would be total chaos. It seems to me that might be the aim of all this, it is as if someone is trying to bust up the whole human race. God help us all!

  14. Zoompad,

I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to you. No one deserves that.

These perverts just don't seem to care what absolute misery they cause children, it's all about them and their gratification.

I hope you find some healing and I'll add you to my prayers tonight.
