Lucia John Key - ClimateGate a Conspiracy Theory

I'll have to wait to check the NewsTalk ZB archives as to what the exact quote is, but now John Key is also saying that ClimateGate is a "conspiracy theory". I really wish journalists would have the gumption to push him on that. It would be so easy.

He would say that, one world govt man that he is. Almost handpicked it seems, how come we always get these patsy leaders, with no spine?

I don't know that it is a theory that it is a conspiracy.

Colluding to pervert science, peer review and data sounds a lot like a conspiracy to me.

And when it has major public policy implications - well .........

A conspiracy to delete raw data?

A conspiracy to change the peer review process no matter what it takes?

A conspiracy to ignore the Freedom of Information Act (or whatever the UK equivalent is)?

Or a conspiracy to treat the whole event as a conspiracy?

So many choices. So little time to pay attention to any one of them before making binding commitments to a new tax system at Copenhagen.

Key makes it look as though he's part of a conspiracy--to rip off productive Kiwis.
And I'm far from sure he isn't, now.

NIWA has released details of a newly calculated long term temperature series for New Zealand, based on 11 stations that have had no major site moves or significant adjustments made to their raw data

How interesting.

NIWA release "new" information which is tagged as Salinger's research.

Salinger left in April, so they have dug up "new" information that was produced before his departure.

This analysis was completed by: Dr Jim Salinger, Honorary Research Fellow, School of Environment, University of Auckland

and they claim the data goes to "the present". Is that "the present" right up to 2006, 2007, 2008, or what? And what then of the "latest" data?
