So President Obama has interrupted is busy Hawaiian schedule to "consider" air strikes against Al Qaeda and he has kindly let them know that he is doing this.
If and when these air strikes take place you can be sure of one thing - anything that Al Qaeda values will be long gone from wherever the missiles land and the only thing the air strikes will achieve will be to make some holes in the desert.
Clever - very clever.
The US and Yemen are considering air strikes against al Qaeda bases in Yemen, in retaliation for the attempted downing of a US airliner on Christmas Day.
The strikes are shaping up as President Barack Obama's first serious national security test.
Several US networks reported that US intelligence agencies were preparing a list of possible targets after al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, an offshoot of Osama bin Laden's organisation, claimed responsibility for training and equipping Nigerian man Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab.

Was it Clinton or Carter who used cruise missiles to blow up a few tents and camels? It seems lefty presidents have form when it comes to this sort of thing.
