I really don't really get these clowns, they're a mystery to me.
On a cold Sunday they make themselves messy with oil and wade into the freezing ocean to try and convince us that drilling for oil is a bad thing. And to try convince the world we don't want it happening in our country.
What these fools, and make no mistake about it they are fools, don't comprehend is that money doesn't grow on trees. And that oil is liquid gold, it literally fires our civilization, keeps it running. So if there is oil to be had off our coasts it is a jolly good thing. It will provide real and meaningful jobs for many extracting and perhaps refining it.
And the extra income for the country will help keep Gender and Queer studies Professors in the style to which they have become accustomed.
If they were complaining that the government was likely to give up a sizable portion of long term profits for short term gains, I'd be supporting them. I saw an article about that some time ago, but not sure how it stands now.
ReplyDeleteBut this would make an excellent beginning to a sci fi movie.
ReplyDeleteAnyone notice that the female protesters don't look much like the muesli munching variety, but appear to enjoy the occasional burger with fries?
ReplyDeleteAndrei, I wonder if they will now repeat their protest on the White House lawn now the Obamamessiah has promised more drilling, and not just in Brazil!!!
ReplyDeleteIt does look like there are a few petro-induced calories on that lot... The watermelons cannot even get crap photo campaigns right...
