This fellow used to be a prison guard. He was until it was discovered that he took money to smuggle contraband into the prison where he worked for the inmates.He reckons he didn't keep the money for himself - he donated it to charity he says.
How likely do you think that is?
He did however plead guilty to corruption in the Taupo district court yesterday and will receive his sentence in July.
