The Bible is an offensive book

And in these enlightened times it nobody should ever be offended.

  1. Well, if the man had the courage of his convictions, he would stop moaning and continue his display and wait to see what prosecution, if any, there would be.

He would then have a platform in court to present his views and defend his use of the bible.

    So, why doesn't he?

I grew up hearing so many stories of xtian martyrs, seems these days xtians are just Sunday Morning Theatre Goers.

Why is religion dying while atheism rises - because we have the courage to stand up for our ideals, we refuse to be bullied and browbeaten. We don't moan, we fight back.

  2. What a load of ..... LRO

This is just harassment, laying a complaint to the police because of a Bible verse and the police acting on that?

Religion is dying either LRO - Christianity is being replaced by nonsensical alternatives for sure but mankind is a religious beast and has to have something

  3. So andrei, you think he should just continue moaning and not stand up for his god?

Contrast his whining with this American professor. He put a poster with these words on his door:

The poster features a picture of the show’s lead character and the following quote from some episode: “You don’t know me, son, so let me explain this to you once: if I ever kill you, you’ll be awake. You’ll be facing me. And you’ll be armed.”

Apparently, that was the character’s response to being asked, “How do I know you won’t kill me in my sleep?”

It was a quote from a sci-fi show called "Firefly".

So, you guessed it — the university took the poster down. They even threatened the professor with patently unconstitutional disorderly conduct charges.

So, what did he do? Bleat and whine? No.

The professor then replaced the poster with another:

Courage? A bunch of atheists running the local Council are busy using ratepayer funds to pay Iwi to put four sacred stones in the corners of a new building to protect the area from evil spirits. That's not standing up, that's just highlighting a lack of consistency on so-called secular values.

And the story above is all about secular atheists bullying Christians. Being a bully is not a hallmark of your new "humanist" superior values, surely?

And atheism on the rise you say? So, it is a belief system after all?
