Rugby world cup song uses the music from a hymn

I'm stunned, first there was the religious advertising, and now the song uses the music for a hymn, thus again entrenching this idea that rugby is the religion of New Zealand.

  1. Well considering that World In Union has been used as a RWC theme since 1991, it doesn't actually have anything to do with NZ or its views on religion or sport. In fact, the only NZ connection is that it was originally recorded by Kiri Te Kawana.
