The EMA have a new website up called 'Fix Auckland', where you can have your say on what needs to be done to fix the Auckland region. The Picture to the left is a diagram showing 'the plethora of interminable interconnections (try saying that fast 10 times - Fletch) our council must undertake every time they do anything'. Click HERE to see the diagram up close. To me it looks more complicated than the London Underground rail network.Anyway, you can leave messages or suggestions on the messageboard on the site and cast a vote as to what you think of the EMA's plan to straighten things out.
So Auckland is "broken".

But think about this - with the current lot in charge, do you really think that diagram is going to get simpler? Last I heard, they were looking at dividing the place up into 12 sub-councils, imagine that!
Suits me. Less government is good government.
