Razing Arizona

The Loony Left at work
The efforts to blame the Tea Party Movement and/or Sarah Palin for the terrible and tragic mass shooting event in Arizona from the self-described peace loving, rational, progressives above the flaming rhetoric and incitement to violence is easily unmasked by Michelle Malkin.

The Progressive Climate of Hate

Sometimes, people who take the higher ground are just looking for a better shot.

Update 11:30PM : The left and the H Bomb and check out Crusader Rabbit and True Blue NZ (and most of the blogosphere for that matter) for a variety of coverage.  True Blue has a list of the victims and their profiles.

  1. Such bullshit Zen. As if the rabid right would be doing anything different.

When you boil it down really hard to argue against this.

  2. "Such bullshit Zen."
So, you're claiming the examples Malkin gives are lies?

The "rabid right" is a tiny minority. The pathology Malkin highlights is absolutely par for the course on the left.
But then, being a lefty, those examples probably look like perfectly normal behaviour to you, Ackers.

  3. You missed my point Ackers, but KG clarifies.

The "rabid right" may well have done the same in this situation, but I was agreeing with Malkin that the "respectable left" who often position themselves as taking the higher ground, who say they would not lower themselves to the same level, do in fact, do so.

The twisting and misrepresentations on the spirit of the Tea Party and the pathetic and incessant attacks on Sarah Palin reveal a certain level of hypocrisy that the media tends to airbrush out of history.

The old baseless claims on the front page, and small clarification (aka retraction) on page 12 in small print. The sort of thing.

As KG said, the list Malkin produced isn't bullshit, they are valid links.

If we are going to engage in peaceful dialogue and tone down the rhetoric, our media, such as the NYT needs to lead by example.

And speaking of the NYT, it carried this story:

Representative Bob Brady of Pennsylvania told The Caucus he plans to introduce a bill that would ban symbols like that now-infamous campaign cross-hair map.

"You can't threaten the president with a bull's-eye or a cross hair," Mr. Brady, a Democrat, said, and his measure would make it a crime to do so to a member of Congress or federal employee, as well.

Hopefully then he'll agree that the Democrats cannot use the same icons then?

And was that about threatening Obama, or does it extend to any president? "Kill Bush" T-Shirts and fridge magnets"? I wonder if the Democrats thought the political rhetoric needed toning done a little back then?

Just a problem on the right Ackers?

Nope, that meme is so busted.

  4. What alternate universe do these people live in? There is no way any sane person could rationalize Acker's perspective.

Have you seen the video of the anti-Palin tweets? Those who are writing this stuff are behind reason. They're insane. And their political orientation proves it is not the right generating the hate that is abroad.

The question that should be asked is how did half of a nation become so consumed with hatred for a good and decent mother of five children? Such a widespread infestation of hate has to have been deliberately generated, and only the left could be behind it.

It makes one wonder if the hatred whipped up by the Nazis against the Jews was ever any worse than this.

As usual, it is not the right who should be defending here, it is the left. They are never so quick to back down or go on the defensive as we are. Will we ever learn not to allow them to use our own decency as their prime attack strategy???
