Lucia "Gay Marriage" is not a human right - EU Court Ruling

Strange, how I've not heard a peep about this here in NZ. I almost forgot about it. From a story last week:

Same-sex marriages are not a human right, European judges have ruled.

Their decision shreds the claim by ministers that gay marriage is a universal human right and that same-sex couples have a right to marry because their mutual commitment is just as strong as that of husbands and wives.

The ruling was made by judges of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg following a case involving a lesbian couple in a civil partnership who complained the French courts would not allow them to adopt a child as a couple.

Why so strange?

It's not currently an issue in NZ, with the exception of your good self and andrei, I don't know anyone getting excited about it in NZ.

Furthermore, any ruling of the European Court of Human Rights has no validity in NZ.

So no, I'm not surprised the NZ media don't see it as a newsworthy issue.

rubbish.
nz media hype these "progressive" issues to the max. They also act as gate keepers and censors.

Kowtow, another content free post? Where is the "hype" from NZ media on this issue? There isn't any. Not even the poofs are demanding gay marriage in NZ.

kowtow - The reason it hasn't been reported is that it doesn't fit the narrative the mainstream media promote . . as for the diversions of PaulPiesseLeftBorkerAndFugleyRightOut? He's a hate filled communist nutjob.

The international media and our lackey repeaters have given massive coverage to the Trayvon hooddie wearing shooting in Florida.Even the racist US president got involved.

Very little coverage and no international outrage on this case. Surprise, surprise.
