How to overcome sexual sin

Help for those struggling with overcoming masturbation. Well worth watching. It starts half a minute in, as there's an ad at the beginning.

  1. The struggle with sexual temptation I think would have been easier like a century ago - cuz today, culture is drenched in sexy... it's like impossible to never see some yummy flesh wherever you go - internet, tv, driving(billboards -at least in teh city) and walking around shops and the town

  2. Lucia, I don't have to struggle to overcome masturbation because I reject the entire notion that something natural is a "sin".

Masturbation IS natural, it is pleasureable and it harms no one, in fact, for many men without a regular sex life it can be life saving as frequent ejaculation has been proven to reduce the liklihood of prostate cancer.

  3. So cyrus, what's your answer? Enforce the covering up of women becasue you and others like you feel unable to control your urges? Yes, let's hide the women to protect the men from sinfulness.

You're about two words away from saying "She asked for it".

I've got a better idea - people who think as you do should be confined to protect women.

  4. I ain't gonna make anyone do anything - but a little consideration is nice.

As regarding slutwalks - I don't think a woman dressing like a slut deserves to be raped, but if you act like prey you're more likely to become prey to a predator.

Please explain. Do you think everyone should consider your problems before deciding how to dress?

  6. ...but if you act like prey you're more likely to become prey to a predator. and If you're walking around the streets at midnight half-naked in front of dangerous-looking people you don't deserve rape - but you are stupid

Seems to me you have a lot in common with Sheik Taj Din al-Hilali.

Like him, you could do with gaining a little compassion in your life.

  7. LRO,

Sex is not designed to be a solitary activity. Those that masturbate frequently tend to be addicted and can't stop easily even if they want to. That's not natural.

As for how women dress, plunging necklines and short, short skirts are very distracting for men. Those like you who enjoy oggling would probably hate it if women dressed more modestly, but that does not mean that we should be wearing sacks as per Islam.

From Lucia Maria Those like you who enjoy oggling ...

Where o where did you ever get that idea? Fantasyland? I resent the implication that I see women simply as something to be "oggled".

Sex is not designed to be a solitary activity.

Solo masturbation isn't really sex in the accepted meaning of the word, although mutual masturbation is.

Those that masturbate frequently tend to be addicted and can't stop easily even if they want to.

    Citation, please.

  9. LRO,

You feel you are being personally attacked? Since when was oggling a sin? No, wait - you do know it's wrong, hence the offence at what I said.

As for your request for a citation - try stopping. Can you stop for a week, a month or a year?

  10. Thanks for this link. I am going to send it to a friend of mine who has a bad addiction to pornography, one of the most evil drugs in our society in my opinion.
