Friday Night Free for All

Evening all. Another week draws to a close. Who is working tomorrow? It's lawns for me in the morning and honoured guests in the afternoon. Hopefully the weather will be as glorious as the other day, because a walk down to the beach on a good day is always really nice. Well, off to sup. Feel free to say hello; did I miss much news this week?

  1. Evening all. Great week for me. I have a trainee teacher in my class and she is on full control. Went to the National Secondary Schools Tri Champs at Karapiro on Thursday - Great times.
Having someone take my class means I get time to do all the things I have wanted to do with my class. Last week I set up a blog with 4 of my top writers - http://telewriters.wordpress.com
see what you think. It is not easy for 10/11 year olds to write opinion articles so they do a good job. Even had Simon Bridges comment today.
Enough of me and my world. What have YOU been up 2?

  2. Good Evening Zen and Ozy.
    I'll be doing invoices tomorrow.
    Been a busy week workwise.
    Where did you get to?
And yes, the weather has been lovely.

  3. Great idea Ozy. I've just gone and visited your teletubbies. Good effort!

Howdy FFM - I haven't had much time to finish all those bloggy things, but perhaps a bit more this weekend. I have a few ideas I want to try around adding images in a more automated fashion.

  4. I've spent the week full out at work, but catching up on sleep at home. It's an amazing feeling to get 6+ hours sleep straight, and for a few nights in a row.

I have taken some time off after Easter. Looking forward to it, and hanging around the house and might tackle a house/garden project of medium ambition.

  5. A little girl asked her mother, "How did the human race appear?"
The mother answered, "God made Adam and Eve and they had children, and so was all mankind made.."
Two days later the girl asked her father the same question.. The father answered, "Many years ago there were monkeys from which the human race evolved."
The confused girl returned to her mother and said, "Mom, how is it possible that you told me the human race was created by God, and Dad said they developed from monkeys?"
The mother answered, "Well, dear, it is very simple. I told you about my side of the family and your father told you about his."

    Will ring you tomorrow.

    The spam seems a problem.

  7. Evening all--coming rather late to the party here. Gecko hadn't seen "Blackhawk Down" so we just watched it. (Alfie cat was pretty interested in the helicopters...perhaps they look like big moths to him.)
And the extension to the shed is finished. No more building projects so maybe now I can get started on something that's more fun, like building a R/C A-10 Warthog.

  9. Cluster Flies? Sounds like you need cluster bombs. Or maybe one of those French jobs. As long as they are not too far away :-)

And some anti-spam devices for FFM.

  10. KG, I saw the story about the cluster flies on the news the other night. Looks horrid!

  11. They're disgusting Fletch. We must have used litres of surface spray yet still they nest in every available crevice in the sheds. Every bug bomb kills thousands, yet still they're a plague.
