Election day diversion

Election day and I was going to post about a significant non issue but then I realized it might be construed as being in violation of Paragraph (g) of Section 197(1) of the Electoral Act - even if unintentionally.

So instead and to be completely on the safe side, what do you think of Tanya Tagaq's music?

  1. That howl towards the end is very similar to the way our dog sings when someone plays the violin or bagpipes near him.

  2. I take it from your comment Ele, that you don't think she would fill the Forsyth Barr Stadium

I'd rather not actually... Do people seriously pay to see that?

They do indeed Ciaron - she is quite celebrated in some musical circles

It's not for everyone, I know, but given there is a danger of being prosecuted for anything that might be constituted political dialogue - this seemed a safe topic for a post since no politician has entered into the fray campaigning on the boundaries of musical expression.

  6. Is there no FNFFA anymore?

Sorry, comment not related to post.
I was not aware of this following point, had to read it at Dictionary.com, of all places:

Why is Catholic Church changing its official Mass"

Refers to language. Really? Some of the examples they gave sort of 'hit home' as to what changes:
The old text reads: “of all that is seen and unseen.” The new text reads: “of all things visible and invisible.”
In the Eucharistic Prayer before Communion, where it used to read “When supper ended, He took the cup,” it now reads, “In a similar way, when supper was ended, He took this precious chalice in His holy and venerable hands.”

    Not happy.
