Andrei Its a bird, its a plane, its a polystyrene iceberg

But why is it there?

Where did it come from?

Could this be the end of life as we know it?

And is it really to late?

All is revealed in the Dominion post.

A group of self-described anonymous artists claimed responsibility for the 'iceberg' via email.

"We are not affiliated with any formal group.

"We're just people who care, people who have children. This is an appeal to every New Zealander who sees this artwork to stand up and take action. It's time to really do something about climate change, before it's too late."

Before its too late, huh?

What is a man to do?

I guess if he has enough disposable income to spare he could get Weta workshops to make him an iceberg, out of non renewable, non bio-degradable resources incidently, in the hope that he might "create conversation and awareness around the issue".

Yeah, that ought to do it.

Who funded it?

Was that in my paper this morning?

They ought to be fined for littering.

This whole global warming thing is such a scam. If instead a giant tax man holding wads of money was popped in the middle of Wn harbour with the idea that we should pay more tax for nothing, then at least that would be more truthful.

I despair about this climate change thing, I really do. All the countries of the world are being embarrassed into joining up to this agreement; if they don't join, they will be seen as being uncaring about our planet, etc etc.

It really needs someone powerful and well-known to stand up to this chicanery - to be the spokesman for those who don't believe in human-caused global warming; to present the facts; someone who can take on the UN at it's own game - but who?

Vaclav Klaus?

No Tom, its fucking stupid.
stupid and retarded.
I hereby name it: Sue Bradford.

Yeh, the Sue Bradford iceberg, on which the 'HMS Common Sense' will run aground.

Leonidas
You probably can't see that your level of comment makes you all that you purport Sue to be.
Possibly you should get someone with a lot of patience to explain this to you

If you cannot see the damage that Bradford and her ilk have done to families, I suggest it is you who needs a few things explained.

ummm, scratch that. Zen has tried.

Explain away
I went back through Zens posts
and I can not see where he has explained the damage that Bradford and her ilk has done to families.
he has made some good posts regarding the smacking debate which i appreciate but none as you described.
So perhaps you can enlighten me ?

Did you review the ones tagged s59 as well? There are a few there that go into this.

Ummm, perhaps some commenters should ring the Vatican and let them know man-made climate change is a hoax, as the memo obviously didn't get through (they think CC is real).

But the irony of a polystyrene iceberg is rather rich... why couldn't they make it out of ice? Wellington is cold enough - just pour water on the streets at night ;)

And if the HMS Common Sense hit the iceberg Bradford, perhaps we should ask who the skipper was? Sir Roger Douglas? Perhaps he thought he was entitled to a bit of ice for his business class drinkies...

Leonidas said...

That skipper would be the (dis)Honorable H Clark.
