According to Alexander Zelenetsky the president of the Altai "Walrus" swimming club the absence of pockets meant they had to carry their passports in their hands. After voting what better way to celebrate than a dip in the frozen river Ob.
Update: Maybe not such a fine day for United Russia party though, with 62% of the vote counted they are on 50.06% of the vote way down from the 64.3% they received in 2007. The Communists have gained they are approaching the 20% mark, 11.57% in 2007.
